Newsome is a clown. This idea that he’ll cruise to some Obama 2008 like victory is nonsense. The “muh suburban” mom thing in 2020 was a ploy to distract from the Dems pumping ballots

Honestly, Newsom is a good match for Trump. Not logically, but liberals don't use logic. Trump would have to redirect and go back on the attack for sure. He'd have to be bigger in the spot light than Newsom. Trumps power right now is coming from the attacks on him FROM Biden. Honestly, if Newsom gets the nod, you have to consider if Desantis is the better counter.

The only Dem that could make Trump sweat is Michelle, and I say that more because she's a wildcard than anything certain about her. I think the campaign takes on some peculiar dimensions if she's the candidate.

Well Ron, in my opinion, you're correct. Trump was resurrected by the current regime. You're way of viewing it is flawed though because you're not realizing how much this can be spun against the countries trust in your political party. You lied about your nominee's health with your so called experts all this time on purpose, to make Trump the GOP nominee. You want to make a last second fighter change without giving conservatives a chance to do the same.
It's still very possible that even Newsom gets a bad go at this because of how this all came about. He might not be able to overcome the loss of trust from that, and then, if it doesn't work out in his favor, his political career is over. There's literally no other rising star in the Democrat party.

Michelle has never been under scrutiny before. I’m not sure if Trump has ever said a single word about her. That’s going to change quickly if she steps in and I’m not sure she could stand up to Trump.

I think she'd also be a target unlike anything Trump has seen. And that's my point, a lot of curious/undefined aspects to that matchup makes her the only Dem that would concern me in taking Biden's place.

Trump didn’t debate anyone during the GOP primary for a reason. He sucks. Democrats wanted a June debate to put this infront of everyone in time for them to pull a switcharoo. Trump debating a fifty-something year old is going to end extremely poorly for Trump.

He is a better option than Biden. The optics would be extremely poor if he was against someone younger.
