Pompeo said last week that anticipates more meddling in the mid-terms.
Trying to be respectful and open minded, but I am not getting it. What happened that is so horrible?

Homeland Security tied to attempted hack of Georgia's election database: Report
quote:
A third-party security firm working for the state detected the unsuccessful breach and linked it to an IP address associated with DHS, the report said. Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp reportedly sent a letter to Homeland Security asking the department to confirm whether an attempt was made.

Russians hackers in our systems that register and de-register voters could potentially make eligible voters ineligible and visa versa. Even the fact that the Russians are inside can undermine public confidence in voting by sparking conspiracy theories like the ones that are rife on this board and undermine confidence in electoral outcomes.

The day Russia and China aren’t probing and hacking every US system possible will be the first. And vice versa

Shouldn't any election which has been proved to have been altered by hackery be declared null and void?

I agree we should take cyber-defense seriously.

It would be hard for us to pull off with our 50 separate electoral systems but the Dutch just last week decided to go with all paper ballots to circumvent potential f*ckery.
quote:
Dutch authorities will count by hand all the votes cast in next month’s general elections, ditching “vulnerable” computer software to thwart any cyber hacking bid, a senior minister has said.
“I cannot rule out that state actors may try to benefit from influencing political decisions and public opinion in the Netherlands,” interior minister Ronald Plasterk said in a letter to parliament on Wednesday.

I have always been 100% against computerized balloting because of the risk of skullduggery in something as small as a microchip.
I don't care about the cost or the cost to the trees. Use paper and everyone gets a free voter ID card and stop with all this bullsh!t every year.

Isn’t this a recycled story?
So Russians are the scapegoat because they won't get out of our way in Syria, and the propaganda leans left so that we geniuses can fight over it amongst ourselves (left vs. right).
Kudos to the script writers for herding the focus towards Russia while at the same time perpetuating the false left/right paradigm.

So it's Russian hackers that are putting dead people back on the voter roles so they can vote Democrat?
