My personal opinion is that these conventional munitions aren't all that important. I think whoever wins the AI and Drone arms race wins the world.

Here is what I don’t get, how is that possible? Ukraine is not a highly populated nation and their military isn’t that big. How are they using that much ammo? Russia by themselves isn’t out of ammo so how can NATO be running out?

If this is true either we are giving them way more than they need and they aren’t using it but rather selling it for cash or we need to take a look at our manufacturing capacity and stockpiles because it’s not up to par

Don't worry, ole Joe is going to confiscate our guns and ammo to feed the war effort and defend Ukraine's border You know...they might just try that.

They could do to ammo manufacturers what the govt did to automobile manufacturers in WW2 and force them to only produce for the war effort and no sales to citizens

I think we would have to have an official war declaration for it to hold up in court though but I don’t put it past them trying

Russia’s MO throughout its history has consisted of three things: relying upon the vastness of their territory, scorched earth and throwing human wave after human wave at the enemy. They basically just bludgeon their enemies into submission.

That and the harsh weather though that won’t affect Ukraine as much

It would be a shame for the number 1 country to actually pull our heads out of our arse and produce our own stuff.

The thought that Taiwan could one day fall definitely played a role in Biden pushing for the CHIPS act to be passed last year. With Taiwan producing about 60% of the world's semiconductors it's become imperative that the US goes back to in-housing that stuff.

America will pay an awful price for electing Joe Biden to office. The nature of evil is to destroy. Plus remember this - advancements in weaponry have always found its way into the field of war.

Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons means more chances someone will be decide to use them. Therefore, sooner or later the warmongers on either side will decide to push that nuke button.

You say America is running out of ammo? So what does Joe Biden do? He sends Ukraine Cluster Bombs. A terrible weapon that most nations agreed not to deploy.

I pray to the God of Abraham that He will intervene and prevent the destruction of this beautiful planet. It is our home. But given the ruthless absurdity of this Biden Administration and the evil it is attempting to shove down people's throats, I have grave concern.

Dang, I would love to see Russia's stockpile.

Russia has been stockpiling ammo the last two decades while we’ve been at war.

I would not assume that all of it is making it to Ukraine.

Right. I'm sure the US is running out of ammo. Yeah, I believe that. The other NATO countries?, Yeah I really do believe that.

Ukraine had the largest army in Europe when the war began.

After the Cold War ended, we slashed purchase orders and encouraged the defense contractors to merge, to save money. We lost most of our production capacity over the next ten years.

Costs actually went up though, because there was no longer any competition between suppliers. Everything became single source.

Russia by comparison never cut as deeply, they were manufacturing at least a million rounds of 152mm a year before the war started, compared to us at somewhere around 140k to 160k of 155mm. And they also had idle production lines they could restart.

Goading Russia into a proxy war that has destroyed a country and killed hundreds of thousands, for what?

No one goaded Russia into war. Russia has done what Russia has always done, try to expand their territory through conquering and intimidation.

I respect we have different opinions. I don't condone Putin for invading Ukraine but yes, we have continued to encroach Russias border by way of NATO for decades. Putin has warned NATO to stop. America helps overthrow Ukraines pro Russia President and install former comedian, plays piano with his dick Zelinski and helps train and build up their military.
Putin is a fricking animal and very smart. What did anyone expect him to do other than what he did? Yes, America wanted this proxy war at the expense of a country and countless lives.
I love my country but we should let others be. This is an European problem, a NATO problem.

Well it looks like a good percentage of "conspiracy theorist" Americans are far more prepared than NATO then.

Weird.

Our procurement system has been a disaster since the end of the Cold War. No own cared though, because they were all getting rich.
