The August explosion released in 20 seconds the same amount of energy our Sun would need 10 days to unleash, according to research published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters last month.

"This burst was outstanding," NASA astrophysicist Peter Bult, who led the research, said in NASA's statement.

Maybe I’m missing something but detecting something with the energy our sun outputs over 10 days isn’t anything mind blowing.

I, for one, can't wait to get drafted into the Galactic War. Travel the Cosmos, meet new species, kill them all.

We can send thunberg to scream at distant pulsars. Might take her a while to get across the galaxy in a rowboat.

Considering this explosion was "Deep in Space", I think you missed out on the Galactic War by a few hundred thousand years, give or take a few dozen millennia.
