If so, why are they prescribed. How much control do we want to give the monster? The monster being medicine which can be used as an excuse to get rid of your very own children.

Maybe doctors and pharmaceuticals can be charge as complicit actors.

No worries. Happens to the best of us.

Probably worth the double post.

I read that her husband works from home, makes half a million dollars per year, she doesn't work, and she has a nanny.

If "entitlement" had a name, eh? Her life with children was just too much to bear.

The government already has that kind of power. You just don’t like it being used after a trial.

LWOP

As we don’t really practice the death penalty, there’s no way to backup this assertion. We have 21,000 murder convictions per year. And we execute around 25 criminals/year.

This what it looks like to be pro-limited government, folks.

The social contract between individuals and the state exists specifically to protect the vulnerable from others depriving them of their natural rights. To suggest that allowing a woman to murder her 3 kids and get away with it is somehow a statist viewpoint is absurd. She should be thrown feet first in a wood chipper.

When do I like the government executing anyone?

There certainly is a very easy way to test whether or not people sentenced to LWOP reoffend.

i am suggesting that the government should not have the power to execute any American citizens for any reason.

Well, thankfully they do. They need to do it more often and they need to do it in this case with this frickin crazy bitch who killed her kids.

This is inherently unjust and should be dismissed as an option.

Simple, expedient, poetic justice is what is morally right and the working principle for a nation.

So you demand an inherently unjust society?

Government executions don’t provide any more “justice” than LWOP. You want vengeance, not justice.

Says who?

Negative. "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed,
for God made man in his own image." Genesis 9:6

Is anything about that unjust? Simple, expedient, poetic justice.

Death by firing squad should have already happened, toss the corpse in a dump.

Me. If the goal is public safety, which you said it was, LWOP is as effective as state execution.

Giving the State the power to execute its citizens isn’t biblical.

This all day and there's nothing more to say about the affair.

The discussion of [in]adequate post partum mental care is a very relevant one at this time in our society but does not change that Ms. Clancy executed her children while watching them turn colors. I can hardly write the sentenace let alone thinkg of it happening.

So we're one missed medication away from murder then. Anyone exhibiting psychotic tendencies should be institutionalized until truly deemed fit for society.

Or you get 3 dead kids.

You may not like how God ordered His universe. You may think you can do it better. But you don't have a universe.

Not me. My first goal would be to order our society in a way that invokes God's favor and stops provoking God's anger, i.e., simple, expedient, poetic justice. Ta-da.

Example: Karmelo Anthony should be taken to the same field he murdered Austin Metcalf on, the very spot in fact. Erect a tent and then take Karmelo's knife, and plunge in it right into his own heart. Simple, expedient, poetic justice.
