Same. Was a unique concept and the seeming lack of overproduction has been a key aspect...but it appears they're jumping the shark. It's probably run it's course. There's really nowhere else to go with the concept to keep it fresh. We all know cenral American rainforest is the toughest place....if you cant get that fire started you done for.

Yeah, it was great when you didn't really know if the people knew what they were doing or not. The best part of the show was watching how the mind works in various situations when there is no distraction or comfort. Now they have people who have been through it all going to harder places, and the human mind study isn't as real anymore.

It's actually a good way to make kids comfortable with the human body and see it as neither taboo or embarrassing. There's nothing sexual about the show, which shows that nakedness isn't all about sex. I think the topic is less of a "big deal" to my sons because of that. The mentions of anything sexual like "I'm embarrassed" or "she's hot" etc are quickly replaced with "I'm going to fricking die without water."
It puts nakedness into perspective.
Of course, with this transgender bullshite they have introduced a new level of sex to an entire episode. frick that.
