They won’t begin with killing pets.
They will begin with registering all pets then putting a small yearly tax on pet ownership which will slowly go up every year. And a large tax on new pet purchases.

Funny story and learning experience: sent the article to liberal GF (no pics-we old) and she asked if it was real so I looked it up. It's not true
However I did go over the ridiculous study and her liberal daughter was there also. Her reply was priceless "I'm not too involved in this climate change but until these people stop jetting around on their private jets, don't lecture me" .... I shed a tear.
