What makes this even more disappointing is he actually DID bring trans lore into the books with Beorn who transformed from a man to a bear, but he just made no attempt to outline the gender aspect of transformation, and because of that Tolkien needs to be forgotten.

His friend from Yale told a story on the news today about how JD brought over some cookies to support him after his transition surgery from a woman.
Told him "i will always love you" in a text after his trans surgery. A female he was close with in school, who is now a man. He loves him. That doesn't seem weird? Then the Peter Thiel stuff. Hmmm

His trans friend, he loves and supported after his surgery, shared hundreds of texts and emails from Vance where he calls trump a racist, morally reprehensible, said "I hate the police" after the Michael Brown murder. Vance seems like the poster child for Black Lives Matter.
They had a falling out when Vance went all MAGA and haven't spoken in a while. The trans friend seems sad his friend JD left him for Trump.
