my take on last night; polls are underestimating republican/Trump supporting voters again

I kept hearing on the news that the race for governor had been Putnam's to lose until Trump endorsed DeSantis, but NOW it was going to be close with maybe a slight edge to DeSantis
Here is an example from Vox:

DeSantis won by just under 20 points. The last RCP average I am seeing was 6.7, but let's not split hairs; this was a big surprise for the race to be such a blowout, at least to pollsters and pundits
we also saw greater turnout for republicans than democrats in both Florida and Arizona, I know, I keep hearing that type of number is unimportant, but still
I believe we are witnessing something special, we are witnessing the people starting to get engaged and pay attention. And that is bad news for team blue

The last election the pols were right in was BHO in 12. Since then they’ve been a dem mouthpiece. However, if they ever will figure out that if they did the opposite and reported gop wins it might work better for them.

Any normal person could tell you there is no way to accurately predict election turnout, barring a representative selection from district election rolls.
The idea that you can call 300 random landlines in Florida and guess the (1) turnout and (2) support in a statewide election is just retarded. But the media has to play their games.

Polls aside... I thought it was Dems that were motivated. DeSantis had more votes than both top Dems together. Don’t see the enthusiasm he MSM keeps talking about on the dem side.
Guy DeSantis beat had more 70,000 more votes than Gillum.

Most of these polls are done by cold calling. The majority of people, including conservatives, don't answer or hang up immediately on those types of calls. It seems that gullible people, that have nothing to do all day, are the only ones that actually talk to these pollsters. Therefore, the margin of error is extremely high, and skewed to the left.

If turnout for Republicans continues this trend, there won’t be any blue wave. We haven’t even seen the [Red October] surprises that should kill any chances of Democrats winning.
