My first visit in a loooong time. I’m sure that this year they had a bunch of stuff up for prostate cancer awareness too, right?

I’m sort of with the OP on this in that I find “awareness” campaigns to be sort of foolish. Other than those prehistoric tribesmen off the coast of India who kill outsiders on sight, who isn’t aware of breast cancer, prostate cancer, MS, MD, Lou Gehrig’s, domestic violence, etc.? They’d do better to simply pick a day and honor/remember survivors and victims.

It’s almost as if it’s breast cancer awareness month.

Raising awareness and getting people to get early tested for any cancer is a good thing.

You could put together a prostate aweness board at your post office I'm sure.

Breast and prostate cancers are two of the cancers that are more easily detected early and can save lives.

It’s to promote awareness. Does it bother you?

Ahh the ‘we have more important things to worry about’ crowd has arrived

How did that work out for:

Gay marriage
Press 2 for Spanish menus
Red light cameras
Gun free zones
etc.
etc.

We live in a gynocentric, feminized society and I remember when that wasn’t the case.

frick! You’re right. It’s starts with cancer, but you just know those progs are going to push for awareness, detection, and treatment for all sorts of other diseases now.
