The spirit of fear seems to control a large % of our population.
People controlled by that spirit do some predictable things: demonize and caricature those whom they see as the source of their fear, seek to band together under "leaders" who can protect them, and abandon liberty and its corollary (spelled it right this time, I think): personal responsibility, to seek a level of safety that simply does not exist this side of Paradise, in a fallen depraved world.
I keep using the term "shibboleth" for masks/gloves and the various buzzwords of the Covid Cult, and I don't mean that as any anti-Semitic slur of course. But it is fitting.
Random example: I saw a grown-arse, masked man walk in front of a car yesterday to avoid being within 12 feet of me, walking in the neighborhood. He glared at me, as if it was my fault he can't properly assess risk and I'm an apostate (foreigner/enemy)for not donning the cultic garb. I try to be polite and sympathetic of people's fears, so I just thanked him for giving us extra-wide berth. He just looked down to the street.
These people are truly out of their minds.
To the fearful downvoters hiding behind your double anonymity, feel free to come out and defend your positions.

The ones that get me are those driving in their cars alone, but are wearing a mask with all the windows rolled up.

Well...maybe she will come to the realization that Government cant save her. Though the probable outcome will be "more government"

Haha. The OT had this debate yesterday. I conceded that some folks are actually being safe by just not touching their mask until they get home from grocery store etc. It's a generous stretch but I'm actually looking for ways to restore hope in humanity. So I'll go with it.

Since she is getting paid to stay home by the government, I think she will feel the complete opposite.

People are over it and that is really going to cause the more emotionally disturbed people to lash out. 99% survivability rate. Time for most people to get back to work and wash your hands.

Eh, I am afraid this is a losing proposition... Not to destroy your hope and all...

I'm expecting a lot of cases like this, I imagine we are going to see a lot of PTSD cases spawn from this "pandemic".
When you raise weak people you get weak results.

The numbers simply do not and did not support all this. I was a little weirded out at first and said at the time the proof would be in the puddin.
IMO the experts were wrong...on a lot of things. The numbers don't bear out these types of responses.
To answer your question...yes my wife is takes this stuff pretty seriously as well. She has a bio/anatomy science background and education and also suffers from a weakened immune system, thyroid shot, etc all that bad shite.
She is pretty petrified of getting sick...I'm somewhere down the middle of calling this entire thing bullshite and seeing it as a real thing. For sure been some disagreements.
The wild thing y'all have to understand is the way a scientist or science mind thinks is different. I won't get into all that but it's different than the lay person. IMO in this case "ignorance" is truly bliss. Via the numbers I'm siding more so with the ignorant. I'm just not seeing it.
If this thing were legit I know five or six people who should be on their death beds or dead because they haven't taken this seriously one day since this started...and they are fine and never got sick.

The number of women who are scared are in the millions. Easily manipulated and easily controlled. Turn out for the 2020 election will be far below normal

This for sure. You will see some pissed off people. Overall this is going to cause a lot of division.

Yeah, but while we're living in pretend-world, I'll maintain the charade.

Ive said the same thing. Its like they are rooting for the virus to be as terrible as worst case projections so they can be dramatic about having loved through it.

??Psalm? ?14:1? ?
It is Psalm 14:1.
Also note that the words "there is" are italicized which means they are not in the original Hebrew.
As one pastor friend explained it, the fool is saying "no God" like I would say "no ketchup on my fries"; in other words, not "there is no God" but "I don't want God".

I told a lady the other day that I might be in the same river but I am not in their boat and I will paddle in the direction that suits my family best...
She just about fell out...
