She was talking to my wife yesterday, and she was livid that the wife goes in stores without a mask and isn’t taking the pandemic as serious as she thinks she should. She said she has been having nightmares about the virus and can’t sleep at night.
She’s white, 51, in good shape, eats healthy, works for the government, so she is home and doesn’t have to get out, and lives in Albuquerque New Mexico.
Anyone else have liberal friends or relatives petrified by the Corona?!
P.S., I included atheist because I think her fear of dying is part of her overall fear .

My wife. She isn’t scared but she is definitely taking it seriously. Supposed to go to the beach on annual Memorial Day trip but she has said absolutely no way we are going as I need to let the rest of my family who are going know. This shite sucks.

We have had friends over but only our closest who we know have been quarantined. So she isn’t completely locked down but I’m salty AF about no going on the trip. I asked her what difference it makes. My family had been relatively careful but they also think it’s a hoax so... thats the hang up. And I’m right smack dab in the middle of them.

Hell, if I was an Atheist...I'd be worried too. If you find value in life, and know that it will end...fertile soil for nightmares.

She will never admit it, but I think a huge part of her fear is because she’s uncertain what will happen to her after death.

Not even my 95 year old grandmother is that much of a basket case.

My dad is in his 70s and takes precautions. He goes to the grocery and Walmart at the designated seniors only time, which is around 6 am. He wears a mask and social distances. He stated that he doesn’t want to get the virus but he has never articulated that he is afraid and hasn’t preached on safety.

I did. My wife’s entire family is conservative, patriotic, Christian, but something happened to her along the way.
My wife is better looking too.

I have cut off numerous people expressing illegitimate fears about the virus. They begin to talk about it and I tell them we aren’t going to agree and to just stop there. Basically, you do you and live in irrational fear while I live my life.

I've told people like this that they are just casuing themseslves to develop mental health problems. Get over it or become a mental nut.

I also say this: "Everyone eventually dies. Grow a pair or request a bubble to walk inside of or never leave the home again. It's your choice. I'm off to the grocery story so have a good day."

Well, she lives far away and we rarely see her, so I don’t have to deal with her much.

The libatards are always glass is half empty anyway but after they see death counters and the third wave is coming on FAKE news they lose their shite. So glad 99.7% of my family and friends aren't like this. OP good luck with that.

Rush went over this last week (I think). The liberal mind is driven by a fear of dying that they cannot get past. Non-liberal minds accept the inevitability of death, and live life. The liberal mind is paralyzed by the thought of death.

Interesting theory.
