National holiday in India. My woke arse company wouldn’t dare observe it. Too busy celebrating pride month.

I had Friday off too and I'm in London.

Same here....we used to ALWAYS honor Good Friday! Christians are getting abused these days!
Traditional values are seriously under attack.

I was in London yesterday. I was happy to be traveling home to NOLA on Saturday afternoon so I missed all the Sunday traffic from the Midlands.

Despite the fact that most Euros never grace the doors of the Church, Easter remains a big Holiday in most countries.
Easter Markets are a big thing and many get a long 3-4 day weekend. Big travel holiday.

This weekend, a customer service rep from India wished me Happy Easter. I responded wishing her a Happy Easter as well but it really through me off. Lol.

My company took away Good Friday and gave up MLK Day.
So we traded an often-beautiful spring Friday for a mid-January Monday just after the holidays.

My company doesn't recognize Good Friday or Easter as one of our company-paid holidays.
They do recognize Martin Luther King Day and Juneteenth.
So forget about the guy who made it all possible that we are here ... and celebrate a guy who's dream doesn't mean shite today with today's youth and culture.

Yes, even your indian contractors get more days off per year than you do.
Kinda crazy right?

I’m not sure exactly when pride month is, but it’s not April.

Mardi Gras
Do you know what that was supposed to be for. Fat Tuesday was the last day the prepare for lent when many ancient Christians would fast for the entire lent season

They probably could have put up at least 5 teepees that day.

Easter should be bigger than Christmas.
But it is treated like St. Patrick's day.

big picture. Christmas is gift giving and convivial events.
Easter is about a famous murder by torture.
the st Patrick's day is apt for the kids. eggs. rabbits. not so much kids about how they've been saved from their karmas.

We have Shouter Baptist Day, Good Friday, Easter
Eid, Christmas, and Divali
Independence, Emancipation Day, and Indian Arrival Day
We cover blacks, east indians, baptist, muslim, hindu and christian
We have all religions and races covered.
A really nice one is Divali. Its a hindu celebration of Mother Lakshmi. You take these diyas, they are small clay bowls with wax or oil and a wick, about half the size of a teacup, and you put a couple dozen around your house, one in each corner of the yard and one each corner of the house, then along the wall, the driveway, in the yard. At night you light them.
People of all religions light them, everyone does. Its quite beautiful to drive down any neighborhood, rich or poor, christian, muslim, or hindu and you will see them lit.
It is said that on Mother Lakshmi's day, Divali, if you light diyas in honor of her, during the dark periods of your life the following year.....she will show you the light to take you out of your troubles.
