Georgia Tech actually hosted the national championship swim meet in which the male swimmer beat the women. The night before, they hosted a speech by Matt Walsh condemning it.
There were seven protesters, and none were likely students. They left after the news covered them.
They tell you from the start. This is a place of higher learning. If you can’t handle it, Athens is that way.

I’m more interested in how your daughter got into Georgia Tech.

Congrats! As a UGA fan I have always given GT a hard time but one of my best friends went to Tech and academically it’s an impressive achievement to get a degree from there….especially in any engineering field.

Great school. Mothers side of the family went to Tech. It is no joke

They left off the "and vote republican, if you value that family you will build."

Congratulations to you and your family. Best wishes to your daughter for the future.
Thanks for sharing the video. Wow! Powerful words with a sprinkle of hope that all is not lost.

The grad program I was in there was liberal, but was pretty good on debating all sides of the spectrum.
Classic liberalism is not a destructive force.
Modern progressive, woke leftism is.

Are we really slurping the wisdom of a kicker?
Being a kicker is the only thing in his public persona. He is obviously a lot more than that.
Youn are obviously a shallow twit too stupid to understand his point.

But in general, nobody is going to be turning down a Harvard grad in tech in favor of a GT tech grad. They might interview both but nobody is turning down Ivy League graduates for 'entitlement'.
bullshite

32 ACT 4.2 GPA, top 10% of class.
She was in the lower 25th percentile of her freshman class. Honestly probably would not have got in if she was a boy. But made the best of it. Graduated EE with honors. Has a job with a great firm based in Atlanta. She has her choice to stay in ATL or move to Charlotte by July 1. We looked at a condo this morning in Atlanta. Think she is leaning toward staying but we are going with her to Charlotte Memorial Day weekend to check things out.

Uh, doubt it.
Georgia Tech is probably desperate for more females due to its 60-40 current gender split.
I'm sure Melinda Gates has thrown some "women in STEM" grants their way.

Meant would not and typed would. I corrected it. She would not have gotten in with that ACT score as a male.

Thank you for posting this. I think at my age and spot in my career, this speech really resonated with me. Today, I attended a non-wedding Catholic mass for the first time in ten years.

The guy who spoke at UNC-CH nursing graduation is a professional DEI guy but his speech wasn't too bad. It wasn't that good either. Rather forgettable actually.
The ceremony focused more on awards for alumni than the graduates. Gotta keep those donations rolling in.
