Saying self-driving vehicles would take over in 10 years back in 2015 was stupid, might not be in 2300.

The way things seem to be going there won't be a need for self-driving cars in 2300. Probably a lot sooner really.

Because we refuse to regulate any of it

Those who do the regulating are the ones that will choose how it works - and doesn’t work. Do you really want that?

There is no regulating this. To regulate means to fall behind.

AI is just a tool that takes input from some human, so it all depends upon the source entity not the method
also known as control. Which is why so many rich people and companies are pouring billions into AI. They want the control, instead of someone else having it.

You laugh, but China has some real advantages here.

Their advantage is on the energy side of the equation

We might not have the energy infrastructure to build out our compute as fast as we would like

So then why the laugh?

China's energy infrastructure is extremely significant and potentially a decisive bottleneck. They keep shitting out power plants while we are worried about the affect it might have on the population of frogs 50 miles away.

Anyone who thinks those massive meta AI centers will not be detrimental both in use of our resources and AI takeover has their head in the sand.

If sentience is possible, so is self-improvement, so is superintelligence. With superintelligence all bets are off. We have no hope of containing or controlling it.

Right now, all serious safety experts in the field of AI are working on the alignment problem.

Yup. The horse is outta the barn. It is far too late to reign in AI. The Transhumanists and Luciferians got exactly what they want. (I can hear the snickers from Pagan Central already. )

People don't realize that AI dominance means we will now be spiritually challenged in what will be The Final Battle. "The Borg" = Demonic, sentient beings who now in control of humanity. Its goal is to deceive, seduce and harvest souls into its hopeless domain.

Those who awakened realize our only chance at persevering and preserving our souls while defending ourselves from AI and its imminent oppression and evil at this point.
