Musk is going to attempt to not pay the twitter golden parachutes

Mr. Musk also appears unlikely to pay the golden parachutes that the fired top executives of Twitter were set to receive. Under the merger agreement, those executives — including Parag Agrawal, the chief executive — had been set to receive compensation of $20 million to $60 million if they were fired. But Mr. Musk terminated the executives “for cause,” meaning he did it with justification, which may void that agreement, two people with knowledge of the matter said.
NYT
“For cause” will be clearly defined in the contract. This will all end up in court, too, but musk going hard in the paint after giving in and closing.

I find myself not giving a flying frick about these people’s severance or Musk having to pay it

I prefer people working as part of the Democrat propaganda machine to not be paid 10's of millions of dollars when they get fired.

Didn’t I tell you paying full price was part of the plan?

I hope he doesn't pay them a dime extra.

Let it go to court. Can't wait to see what he cites as "cause." Election interference? Or maybe the fact that Twitter was hosting child porn?
It'll be funny if the employees end up not even challenging it.

If anyone on this BoarEd knows where child porn is hosted, this is your man! Q=tards unite!

Probably settle for something inbetween.

Fraudulent representation of traffic. They knew that huge numbers of their users were bots.

An honest DOJ would already have them under indictment. I don't know how much they want to poke the bear now that Musk has all of their emails/minutes/ texts.

That was only for banks during the Obama election years.

I wonder what we may find out in court??

Not on the deals I’ve done. You don’t want to be too specific on what constitutes cause because then the argument of “well X isn’t on the list” gets kicked around. Even couching a list with “including, but not limited to…” gets dangerous.
Cause is like porn - hard to define but easily recognized.

Given the whole bot issue, we know SEC investigations and shareholder lawsuits are forthcoming. Would those constitute being fired with cause, or should we just cut to the chase and let an angry mob curb stomp their pompous arses.
