Put it towards reducing the debt. It’s just a ploy to calm down the 50% of our population that are ignorant mouthbreathers and tamp down the influence of corrupt politicians screaming about the cuts.

I do want Trump’s tax cuts renewed.

Not actually making any progress on our debt or significant progress on our deficit by ignoring the real spending problems.

Correct

There is no reason to give the money back now. The point of the cuts is to deal with our deficit/debt.

Your expectation was that debt reduction would take less than a month?

I'm not a Trumper, but good Lord. Fire a neuron.

And to be clear, any tax rebate before the books are balanced is a vote buying scheme.

How many people have you ever met that spent their refund checks well? Having been doing taxes for almost 20 years, I can tell you that most americans are not psychologically capable of spending "found money" with any type of responsibility.

We should just lower taxes and withholding. People are much smarter about their money when they get to keep $200 more out of each paycheck compared to getting a $5,200 refund.

Is that 5,000 or 50,000. The placement of the comma is confusing.
