If tweet fails to load, click here. Vivek: federalism is the answer. When in doubt push it to the states. This is what the founders had envisioned.
Mike Lee: the federal government sucks at doing most things and its overreach in doing a bunch of shite it has no business being involved in at all, makes it suck more at the few things it actually is supposed to be doing like defense and interstate commerce.
Vivek: Biggest DOGE ROI won’t be savings and reduced deficit, but long term GDP and economic growth coming from deregulation
Elon: true but short term we can cut 1 trillion this year. 0 inflation and dropping interest rates is the goal
We spent 7 trillion last year, only 4.5 trillion in 2019 so it’s definitely doable.
Elon: talking about cutting Medicaid and social security fraud. Foreign fraud rings are stealing 200 billion per year from SS and Medicare in addition to however much US fraudsters steal. Entitlements programs have shite fraud protections. It’s utterly insane.
Doge spaces will be held weekly

Elon is taking a page out of Milton Friedman. His understanding of inflation is spot on. It is government created via overspending.

It was recorded so anyone can go listen now. It was interesting. Ernst had been working on USAID and few had backed her. Vivek said a lot can be done via governors.

You should edit this threads title to reflect Musk calling USAID an apple of worms-- that isn't just one bad apple it is rotten to the core with worms.
Musk's comment on the apple full of worms=USAID, with Joni, Vivek agreeing just made the headlines on Fox News.
The beautiful thing FINALLY! Is that no one GAF about Turtle saying OMB on 60 minutes saying Trump called his CHYNAH wife a racist name.

Inflation is driven by multiple factors outside of government deficit spending. That's just a fact that it's not one thing alone.
Secondly this would indicate that we must engage in deficit spending as we want some inflation over time of our assets but not a lot all at once.

Those factors are almost always incentivized by the government or at least caused by them. Obtuse moron
