You can never hate the left enough. They have absolutely no problem with pattern recognition if white man does anything at all, making connections that are not even there....but will act like your the worst person on Earth even if your sitting with a graph in your hand. Prayers to his family, hopefully we can raise them alot of money

Why did they do this? They're not at war with the drivers, seems like a good way to scare a good cop into shooting someone because of their training
He said they wanted to see how much if any law enforcement experience he had, what he would do and how much training he needs to get him to the place where he needs to be. He also said it taught him a valuable lesson, that is not to take anything for granted, just because you pull someone over for a trivial driving violation, you never know who or what you're getting into. They taught him to open his door, stay behind the door and ask the driver to step out, not to walk up to a car without a care in the world like he did in the scenario. So, personally, I think it helped him learn what he needed to learn.

It’s a valuable lesson. Unfortunately occurrences like that happen monthly all over the country. A lot of times they don’t hit national head lines because cops train for those scenarios and fortunately aren’t getting killed against bad guys with a gun.

So everyone he pulls over for a traffic violation has to get out of their car?

That everyone he pulls over is to be treated as a felon?

Legally required to if he wanted to.

That’s an absurd conclusion. Not every person is a lovely citizen and not every person is a criminal.

There are a couple of hyper-Libertarians on here who loathe any & all law enforcement. I suspect it could be one or two of them.

Yes, if the officer chooses that, the driver and occupants have no choice.

Yes, everyone pulled over has to be recognized as a threat.

I'm not sure what their SOP's are .

If training assumed everyone was safe, officers wouldn't survive their first year on the job.

The average per month for 2024, according to google, was over 12 per month. Slightly less at over ten per month in 2025.
That's nationwide.
So the claim of "daily" seems to be an embellishment. I was under the impression that inaccuracies in historical statistics is a conspiracy by one side or the other.
Now, the board will get angry and rant away that I have just said it's ok to murder police officers, but the evidence clearly does not show that. However, there is no expectation of honesty on this board, so rant away.

Read the thread title again.

That's not a very good take.
"Based on 2025 year-end data, approximately one police officer was shot in the line of duty nearly every day in the United States."
Officers are getting shot on the daily, sometimes they live, sometimes they don't. If something is a daily occurrence but results in death a few times a week, it isn't outlandish to have the impression that it seems to be both happening daily.
What is even your point?

I was a state trooper..
It was bad then.. I fear how bad it is now. I hope all goes well.

There have been 13 police officers killed in the line of duty this year.
5 have been shot
8 have died in traffic accidents
That 13 is a decrease in total line-of-duty deaths over the same time frame last year.

Its harder to tell nowadays. The reason I asked the question. I'm not concluding anything.
Working in security everyone is a threat who is not known. Not required to follow the same standard as LE.
Its got to be harder to be in LE due to the increased mental health issues & politicians screaming to defund them, among other things.
I'm just curious if they're policy has adjusted for that. Its a fine line they have to walk between law & order and abiding by the constitution.
Hence the ? and not the .

Just to be clear, white people or conservative white people have the same opportunity to protest like other groups when they don't like something. Whether or not you get protected like the other groups is an entirely different matter.
White Republicans don't protest, unless elections don't favor them and then get pardoned for their actions. All while fearing loss of power. Fify
