They also said it infringed on Hoffman’s freedom to practice religion, specifically his Buddhist breathing and meditation in the moments leading up to death.

Murrill and Gov. Jeff Landry have pushed for the resumption of executions in Louisiana, where 56 other prison inmates remain on death row. “We have to look at how we can move these cases along,” Murrill said. “Yes, we expect to move more of them forward.”

This and the firing squad should really be the only methods allowed. Both have a 0% botched rate. The firing squad is instant death and nitrogen sends you out in a state of euphoria. Neither are cruel or unusual.

I don’t understand how the method would interfere with his Buddhist breathing and meditation. Wouldn’t deep breaths and meditation be the ideal way to hasten your death and make it as peaceful as possible? My expertise here is based on having nitrous oxide a few times, so I don’t really know just guessing.

Uh, the air you breathe is about 79% nitrogen.

As for my car tires, I use a specialized blend of 21% oxygen and 79% nitrogen.

One would think.

Then again, getting ditzy before dying might be taboo.

What?

You do realize air is 79% nitrogen right….

The process basically starves your body of oxygen by breathing 100% nitrogen…You die from hypoxia Einstein. It has nothing to with molecular size…..

Because you can’t breathe out because the molecules are larger. You literally just proved my point.

I wish they would show a video. I like videos where the content is too graphic for most people.

Why can't you breathe it out if you were able to breathe it in? Where do you think it gets hung up?

Nitrogen is smaller than oxygen.

High school chemistry is hard, I know.

Answer my question. Where does the nitrogen get hung up that prevents one from exhaling it?

Folks, sounds like they got the wrong guy!!
