quote:

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is expected to issue findings on core aspects of his Russia probe soon after the November midterm elections as he faces intensifying pressure to produce more indictments or shut down his investigation, according to two U.S. officials.

Specifically, Mueller is close to rendering judgment on two of the most explosive aspects of his inquiry: whether there were clear incidents of collusion between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, and whether the president took any actions that constitute obstruction of justice, according to one of the officials, who asked not to be identified speaking about the investigation.

quote:

Rosenstein has made it clear that he wants Mueller to wrap up the investigation as expeditiously as possible, another U.S. official said. The officials gave no indications about the details of Mueller’s conclusions. Mueller’s office declined to comment for this story.

quote:

There’s no indication, though, that Mueller is ready to close up shop, even if he does make some findings, according to former federal prosecutors.

Good god, they’re going to drag this shite out forever. “Release core findings”...but investigation will still be going. What a shite show this is.

Nothing so far except process crimes such as failure to register as a foreign agent or lying to the FBI - about things that happened years ago. Nothing about the Trump campaign colluding with Russia.

Time to shut this bullshite down.

Well, $1.5M a month to me and my cronies, I wouldn’t ever be ready to close up shop either...that’s why he loves that there is no limitations to his investigation

Or Mueller doesn't want to help the Reps chance at the midterms by releasing before then proving Trump innocent.

Regarding impeachment, it didn't keep Clinton out of office. Of course it would be bad for Trump if he runs again. Optics are everything with voters. That's why the MS tv media is not reporting scandals by Dem politicians before midterms. FOX has a good piece on it this morning.

Which means there's nothing. If he had anything they would release it a week before the midterms

The article is full of speculation.

May, might, suggest, could or possible are used throughout the article.

And where it is possible to speculate regarding the special counsel, the speculation is bad for Trump:

and because Mueller’s investigation has been proceeding quietly, out of the public eye, it’s possible there have been other major developments behind the scenes.

Maybe they have been proceeding quietly because they have nothing? The reported omitted this possibility.

At what point is it objectively reasonable to say an investigation of a sitting president has gone on long enough that the findings have to be released and the investigation concluded? Can any Democrats give an answer to that? The answer should be universal and reciprocal to any future investigations of a president. We are going on TWO fricking years now. What is the hold up from concluding the investigation and releasing to the public what has been discovered in this two year investigation? Does the country not deserve an explanation as to why an investigation needs MORE TIME than two years? Shouldn't the investigator have to provide the public SOME evidence or support for the notion that his investigation warrants more time?

Can't say I blame him. He's getting a sweet paycheck with virtually no oversight for basically doing nothing. He could say he's found a potential lead that the moon is made of green cheese at this point, and no one would stop him.

Would their answer matter? They all agreed 1 week was plenty enough to finish up with Kavanaugh and then cried like babies with amnesia about “OMG, how do you expect to do an investigation in 1 week”
So sick of this shite. Anybody that still buys into the dem bullshite is either 1. Truly an imbecile, 2. So prideful and invested that they can’t bare the thought of admitting they were wrong or 3. Hasn’t changed the channel from CNN since 2016

Why? Everyone with a brain knows they are liars and deceivers. A "no collusion" verdict won't cost them a minute of sleep. They sure as hell won't apologize for being wrong. They'll just yawn and move on to the Saudi debacle.

I disagree. If he really wanted to frick things up he would release the findings right about now.

If the findings say there is nothing there, the Dems will run to the media and use them to rally their voters by saying not finding anything is proof the investigation was rigged. They would be pushing the conspiracy theory angle harder than anything else.

If the findings actually found something then the Dems would use that as a "gotcha" to rally their base.

His holding back on releasing anything until after the election is really the best outcome for conservatives.
