Russia Keeps Meddling, Mueller Says in Bid to Guard Evidence
He is actively seeking to not provide evidence to the defense on a case he brought. Sounds like a violation of due process

U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller warned that Russian intelligence services still have active “interference operations” into U.S. elections and that handing over certain evidence in a criminal case could imperil ongoing investigations. Mueller on Tuesday asked a federal judge in Washington for an order to protect voluminous evidence sought by lawyers for Concord Management and Consulting LLC, one of three companies and 13 Russian nationals charged in a February indictment alleging election meddling via social media. Prosecutors have uncovered evidence of other individuals and entities who are “continuing to engage” in similar activities. The legal battle between Mueller and Concord’s attorneys highlights the tension between intelligence-gathering, which is cloaked in secrecy, and the U.S. legal system, which entitles criminal defendants to review evidence against them. Lawyers for Concord, a company linked to a longtime associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin, have been negotiating to obtain documents from the special counsel to mount a legal defense.

Yikes. How stupid does he think we are?

You drop the case or go forward. You can't have it both ways. That's Prosecuting 101.

And CNN and their lemmings believe this.

This is the very convenient horse they’re going to ride into the ground for as long as they can.

He brought it. Turn over the documents, Honest Bob. You crooked bastard. And to think, this lying douchenozzle has such a big part in the muh collusion investigation.
Reap what you sow. Hopefully the US ends up charging you for allowing sensitive information to fall into Russian hands.

Waiting for the filth's spin. They'll be along in a minute.

The 13 Russians stuff was simply for optics. Mueller needed a PR win directly related to the Russians. Something concrete to point to in order to justify prolonging his existence. They were never actually going to show up in court and he'd never get any pushback from it.

When the SC got the brief, he was like:

If he indicted using that evidence then under the rules of procedure he HAS to turn that evidence to the defense. There is no way around it. The defense is entitled to the discovery.
He could always drop the charges or if he finds a judge that will allow this, he just handed the defense a credible appeal issue

Definitely a tough case to prosecute. I'm sure Prigozhin is cued up to take discovery and weaponize it on social media with his bots and troll army.
