I'm basing it on why she was voted in, her surprising love affair with illegals and how her voters might feel about that.
She really stepped in it. Having Trump on her side would maybe have pulled her through it but she pissed on that, too.

She is not much of a fighter if this is all it took to get her to resign. Of course, the "true conservatives" will once again blame Trump for someone else's action. It's just in their nature.
Why would you support someone who's so weak that she runs away just because the president said he wouldn't endorse her for a failing campaign?
Trump has nothing to do with this. MTG tarnished her reputation with her own words and actions, and she was looking at a tough reelection, so she is taking her illegal laborers and going home.
This should tell you MTG was always about MTG just in case you didn't pick up on that from her left wing media apology tour.

Though it triggers certain posters on this forum to mention actual voting records, no one in Congress had a better voting record than MTG on curbing illegal immigration. During her time in Congress, MTG voted to:
• Abolish Washington D.C.’s sanctuary city policies and prohibit noncitizen voting in Washington, D.C.
• Abolish the Migrant Parole Program, a Biden Administration initiative that incentivized mass illegal migration into the country.
• Defund the State Department’s Migration and Refugee Assistance program, another Biden initiative to use taxpayer funds to facilitate mass illegal immigration.
• Defund the U.N. and USAID, both major facilitators of illegal immigration from Central and South America.
• Impeach Homeland Security Director Alejandro Mayorkas for refusing to secure the borders and indeed pursuing policies that facilitated mass illegal immigration.

That's what sucks for her... I've definitely heard her voting record was absolutely what we'd want it to be.
Unfortunately... words are forever and she spoke the wrong ones. I am not aware if she ever explained that clip, if she did it didn't get viral treatment.
Her words, her increase in wealth being pointed out and her locking horns with Trump were a trifecta of bad luck and poor judgment.
