If true, that would be a significant factor in Vladimir Putin's publicly stated preference for presidential candidate Donald Trump over presidential candidate Hillary Clinton."

The very fact that one of the most major news outlet in this country leads with a story that starts with “if true...” is extremely depressing.

Hell I hope it is true! Imagine big time mover and shaker who was smart enough to lay his liabilities off on dumb arse Russians. IF TRUE (LOL) my respect for the man and his art of the deal just went through the roof. The bank doesn't give a damn, they just want to collect their interest so where's the beef? One more thing by 1863/4 Lincoln, who blockaded the south, running the price of cotton to incredible heights, made a deal with the south to buy their cotton and kept the war going for close to 2 years longer than it should have. He issued government permission rights to friends and supporters who made the deals then made enormous profits brokering the cotton bales. For 2 reasons, first the north was desperate for cotton and could not afford to pay the crazy prices it was bringing to European brokers who bought the expensive stuff that ran the blockade. And second they were desperate for it. Fact remains DESPERATION makes strange bedfellows and Lincoln was supporting the Southern war effort and it was practical for both sides.
