But Graham, in a detailed statement early Thursday afternoon, expressed reluctance to go so far as calling Obama to testify. He said he is "greatly concerned about the precedent that would be set by calling a former president for oversight." "No president is above the law," Graham said in the statement

. "However, the presidency has executive privilege claims against other branches of government. ... As to the Judiciary Committee, both presidents are welcome to come before the committee and share their concerns about each other. If nothing else it would make for great television. However, I have great doubts about whether it would be wise for the country.”

Line the others one up first, gather more evidence, and then call him to the stand. Calling Obama first would be a huge mistake IMO.

I'm completely fine with letting Obama slide. However at least 3 BIG fish need to fry... not for vengeance, but to insure that no one ever pulls this shite again.

Ya know.. I want Obama to be held accountable but calling him before a congressional committee isn't going anywhere. He'd just to claim executive privilege. I think Trump should want to be careful for the precedent that's set for life after the Presidency. If Republicans haul in Obama, you can bet your arse Democrats will endlessly badger Trump (although they'll likely do that anyway).

I think the better angle is to ruin his legacy by bringing in his underlings

1) Not surprising. Deep State rats protect each other.

2) Not even necessary, because 1) those Congressional hearings, at least by the Republicans, are nothing but dog-and-pony shows anyway, and 2) it's what Durham does that matters. Graham is simply looking to get reelected this year so he can retain his power and spend 6 more years in the Swamp.

just a move by POTUS to get the focus in the wrong direction. magicians trade secret. have the audience looking at the wrong thing while you make your moves.

This is a smart play by Graham. Y'all can call him "Ms. Lindsey" all you want, but he knows what he's doing with this.

It would be a dangerous precedent to set.

It’s beyond safe to assume that pictures of Lindsey exist.

Even though Ms. Lindsey shows his man balls every now and then, he does have feminine soy tendencies when it comes to the swamp. Most likely because he and his buddies in DC have their own skeletons in the closet that they dare not wish to have outed.

Or he doesn't want to put Trump in a position where he spends 2024-2028 sitting in from of Congress endlessly testifying.

This is one of those things that sounds good at the time and then ends up backfiring down the road. Just like when the Democrats changed the number of votes required, and then it came back to bite them in the arse.

I think the correct strategy is to try to take down everyone around Obama first. If you can do that, then you move on to Obama. But don't jump the gun by going to him first. And in the meantime Biden's candidacy gets caught in the crossfire and destroyed.

Less danger than the precedent of using your office and the intelligence agencies and justice department to attack your political enemies and it going unpunished.

You do not need to call Obama, you just need to call all those around him. Ask Nixon.

Is Miss Lindsey up for re-election this year? Why can’t SCar ditch him for a true conservative?
