Progressive hypocritical ideology of the day:

Gun reform- ban all guns. If it saves even one life it's worth it no matter how many rights it tramples. The actions of the few are justification for the end of the rights of many. We cannot sacrifice our security in the name of freedom.

Immigration - open all borders. No matter how many rapists and murders and gang members get in because they have the right to be here and how dare you interfere with someone's rights. The actions of a few don't justify the end of the rights of the many. We cannot sacrifice our freedom in the name of security

The sooner that most Americans wake up and realize that a democrat doesnt care if American lives are lost to push an agenda, the sooner we can reset the trend.

Here's another nice piece of hypocritical progressive ideology:

School security- there should be a wall around every school with armed guards and security and checkpoints where every person who enters is screened for their reason to be there and checked for weapons and backgrounds and then accepted or denied entrance based on certain criteria. We cannot sacrifice our security in the name of freedom.

Border security- we should have no walls or armed guard anywhere near our borders and the process for who can come into this country is unnecessarily burdensome. Also, background checks for immigrants are racist and everyone should be allowed in wherever they want. We cannot sacrifice our freedom in the name of security.

This statement reeks of racism and zenophobia. We can't stop all immigration as immigrants provide the nucleus of certain jobs in a growing economy, primarily in the skilled labour segment.

Not speaking for Bamarep but Ill give you my thoughts anyway.

1. The Americans you refer to are mentally ill and should have been in a secure facility. No amount of gun laws will stop a crazy person from doing bad things except in the case where you put them in a place where they cannot do any harm.

2. All violence is bad, but in the case of an illegal alien committing a crime is a double mistake. If they were not here they would not have been able to commit the crime. This is similar to the mentally ill scenario, the goal is to keep them from committing a crime.

3. My ancestors immigrated here as part of the British Army in 1730. There were no real immigration laws at that time. If you could afford a boat ticket you could come. Times have changed and we now have the need to limit or at least know who is coming into our country. My ancestor retired from the army and raised his family here. He had 3 sons, 2 of which died in the Revolutionary war, all three fought on the colonists side.
