I'm not really a conservative, but I did say the day after the election that the biggest fear I had with Trump was that the Media was so fricking biased that we would struggle to have legitimate criticisms of the POTUS. I think that's probably the case, and I admit I've been extremely generous too him because I just want to stick it to media.
I was late to the Trump train, but jumped on because I saw it as the most obvious way of getting a narrative shift in the public discourse. It worked, I'm glad it happened, but it's over now.
Who else is there that could survive attacks by all quarters? Ron or Rand wouldn't make it out of a primary. Who could survive the media onslaught?
You are dealing with 2024 issues while sitting on the side complaining; while Bernie ushers in communism. That is just plain ignorant and a waste of time.

Probably because the solution will never come from a President. I'm almost on the accelerationist train, because all of our problems run too deep for any one man to tackle. Ride the tiger and kill it when it's exhausted.

Accelerate towards what, though? I agree that our Democratic process, with this electorate, is unlikely to generate a solution, but what else can there be?

Accelerationism would absolutely annihilate the little that we have now. Take this board as a metric, most of these conservatives would gladly throw someone under the bus if it meant they could avoid being called a racist or a homophobe.
Honestly, the lack of infrastructure and support that we experience now would only be amplified in an accelerationist scenario. We need to decelerate in most instances, try to pick off more people on the fringes of loser conservatism, and start concentrating resources among our offspring.
It's gonna get worse though, that I'm sure of.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to try to focus on local politics and networking for both future growth and mitigation of what seems like the inevitable future. I don't know what else there is to do.
I've already had a few "conversations" with people that I trust, and they are at least hypothetically on board with me, but it remains to be seen whether or not they actually give a frick and listen to me beyond nods and apathetic assent.
