Submitted comment:
"Today, I had an opportunity to speak with an officer from the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD). Our conversation began with the recent church takeover incident in St. Paul and naturally shifted to the events involving Jake Lang that occurred yesterday (January 17, 2026).
According to the officer, MPD personnel on scene were prepared and willing to intervene and provide assistance to Jake Lang and others who were being violently attacked by a large group of protesters. However, officers received a direct stand-down order, preventing them from taking action to protect those under assault. This directive explains the footage showing MPD vehicles departing the area while individuals were being viciously attacked.
The officer emphasized that MPD brothers and sisters did not join the force to stand by in such situations—they signed up to protect and serve the community. Morale within the department is currently very low and continues to decline as a result of these types of experiences and orders.
I wanted to share this firsthand account, as it highlights serious concerns about officer safety, public safety, and leadership decisions during volatile events."

Reminder: 1A isn't just for speech you like and agree with. And we posted yesterday that MPD was making lawful orders to disperse when they suddenly disappeared and let the counter-protesters take over.

The Police work for the Mayor. If the Mayor is a Communist Violent Revolutionary, then the Police are the agents of a Communist Violent Revolutionary.
They are in a tough spot if they aren't on board with the goals of the Violent Communist Revolutionary.

It's getting to the point where these officers are going to have to say "F*ck it! We're going in! We swore an oath to protect and serve."

Ignore them and do your jobs. I'm sure your union will have your back.

Pretty obvious Fey and Tampon are trying to force Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act.

So literally the same playbook we saw with the Summer of Love in 2020.
Only this time, it's not going to end so well for them.

The Mayor and Gov would both probably be in favor of MPD quitting their jobs so that they can be replaced by Somali immigrants.
Somebody around here suggested that and I think it's true.

I read yesterday that there were 24 that quit in a single day and reportedly 18 of those joined ICE
I am not stating that as gospel but I do not find it that hard to believe with everything going on

Get mad however you want, but it is true.
Here’s something for you to google: Police have no legal obligation to put themselves at risk in order to protect you.
Or, just let me do it for you:
quote:
A common perception in the United States is that police have a legal obligation to protect individuals from harm, but this is not the case under federal law. The U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly affirmed that law enforcement agencies do not have a constitutional duty to protect a person from the criminal acts of another. This principle stems from specific interpretations of the Constitution and has been shaped by decades of legal preceden

Anyone still working for Minneapolis PD should be considered questionable at best.
Anyone who didn’t leave after Floyd or joined after Floyd is a dumbass.
There are thousands of departments around the country, and you choose THAT one knowing its history?

No shite. Over the last 10 or so years, Democrats have proudly exploited the technicality that cops don't have to actually help anyone.
Pulling back police has become the greatest weapon for Democrats. Because it allows their propaganda fueled woke mob to run around, freely committing all sorts of atrocities.

Right, because you will believe literally anything as long as it makes the other side look bad.

And yet, stand down while they saw an innocent person being beaten is exactly what they did. They saw an innocent person being attacked by a violent mob, and they turned their backs and walked away because their boss told them to. They didn't know if he would be alive as they cowardly fled.
And now they want sympathy because they were just following orders. frick them. No real man, especially one with the desire for law enforcement, would watch a man be potentially murdered and do nothing. frick your job. You want better morale? Save the man's life like you claim you want to do.
Become a hero and sue for wrongful termination. Don't be a pussy and cry about wanting to help when you were right there. You do the right thing whether you have permission or not. Have some balls.
If you can't do the job, then don't be a cop.

We can only hope the Church and/or their Church goes sue the living daylight out of the mayor and city for putting them in danger.

This is what so many here can't seem to understand.
Their residents, in general, want this, elections have consequences. Frick 'em, let it burn.
