Unreal... but I don’t see how doxxing the whistleblowers will harm them. I think most sane people would be just fine putting their names behind a condemnation of this filth.

And this is coming from a really extreme libertarian who thinks the age of consent is too low because it doesn’t correlate with biology. These kids haven’t even started puberty though; they’re not sexual beings.

With a small list of properties to view, we stood on the front porch of my parents’ house, ready to set out into the late-November day. But as I typed the address of the first apartment into my phone, a sexually explicit text message from an unknown phone number appeared on the screen.

“Hi there … Saw your post on CL … Are you still up for some fun?” the message read. It was quickly followed by another: “I want to frick your arse.” I could feel the blood drain from my face. I looked at my boyfriend, and back at my phone. “I have no idea who this is,” I told him, showing him the messages. Three more aggressively sexual messages appeared on the screen.

“It must be a wrong number,” my boyfriend told me. “Just delete it.” I took his advice, quickly deleting the texts and blocking the unknown number. But the messages didn’t stop. Instead, they continued coming from different numbers from different cities all over the country. In the following weeks, I received assault threats, pictures of genitalia, and countless degrading messages, all responding to Craigslist sex ads I never posted.

As a woman who writes about disfigurement and medical trauma for a living, I never thought sexual harassment would be a hazard of my profession. Yet just two weeks after I wrote about equality for individuals with disfigurements in a national paper, the abuse began. It was as though I was being punished, and I had no idea who was trying to take revenge on me or why.

I still don’t know who created the ads impersonating me, or why, but after the man convicted of sexual assault began to contact me, I decided to publish this piece under an assumed name. Fear for my safety trumped the advice to build up my online profile and bury the ads.

Though my identity has been concealed, I still shudder every time I think of the fact that someone is out there waiting for me to let my guard down, to post another ad. While I will not let the harassment keep me from my love of writing, or prevent me from living my best life, every time I publish something new, there’s a part of me that wonders if this will be the day the verbal threats become physical — if this will be the day I really am silenced.

Vox’s Yglesias: Terrorizing Tucker Carlson’s Family a ‘Strategy’ to Make Him Feel Fear of ‘His Victims’

Liberal Vox blogger Matthew Yglesias tweeted the Antifa mob that broke Fox News host Tucker Carlson's door and frightened his wife into calling police was engaging in a "strategy" to make him feel the fear of "his victims."

A left-wing group called Smash Racism D.C. descended on Carlson's Washington, D.C. home while he was at Fox News studios, chanting he was a "racist scumbag" and "we know where you sleep at night." Carlson said someone in the mob broke his oak door, and his wife Susie hid in a pantry and called police, fearing a home invasion. The Carlsons have four children, but no one besides Susie was home.

Smash Racism D.C. posted video of the incident and later had its Twitter account suspended. Condemnation of Antifa's actions came from both sides of the aisle, but Yglesias took a different tack.

Yglesias initially responded to Slate writer Will Saletan, who had criticized the group's actions by writing on Twitter, "One way to become the fascists is to think you can do anything in the name of anti-fascism." Yglesias responded, "Another way is to get rich peddling white nationalist propaganda."

Food for thought the next time "... but I don’t see how doxxing the whistleblowers will harm them" comes to mind.

BTW, it's hard to look past the irony, when one realizes Matthew Yglesias (subject of the second article) writes for the same news source that published the first article.

I believe you’re possibly talking about me, as I’ve defended one of those pride event things along those lines before. I know it won’t go well for me, but I’ll come back to eat crow. Because this is beyond fricked up and I’d rather eat crow than mistakenly lead anyone to believe that I support this trash.


I’ll maintain support for that limited position as you stated it; when one biological sex wants to simply embrace the culture and clothing of the opposite biological sex, I have no problem with it and no problem with kids being exposed to it.


But what’s happening here is a whole different level of fricked, and needs to be completely disassociated from that first category. This is the creation an entirely new culture built around sexually traumatizing children, and no one should support it. I absolutely and unequivocally do not.

My position hasn’t greatly changed. Letting culture evolve to where some biological males embrace some aspects traditionally associated with female culture (and vice versa) is not something I care about. That’s far healthier for our society in my mind than supporting the delusion that these people were born the wrong sex. But this isn’t only that. This is beyond fricked up. This is 10000 miles beyond the line of acceptable behavior and people should go to jail for it.
