"Hero." "Echoes of the Kennedys." "Very inspiring." "Good in every way." "Witty, charming, human, compassionate."

You get the idea. In the wake of his announcement speech of yesterday, today's Morning Joe was a veritable Pete Buttigieg love-in. In addition to Joe and Mika singing his praises, all the panelists joined in the chorus.

And beyond the glorification of Buttigieg, there were pointed shots taken at the candidacies of Hillary Clinton and Beto O'Rourke. Donny Deutsch, who called Buttigieg a "hero," said that no one would have used the word for Hillary. And Mika suggested that "putting it kindly," Democrats "missed the mark last time around " by nominating Hillary.

Brzezinski also complained that the notion of Beto O'Rourke as the Kennedyesque candidate has been "forced on me . . . you feel this sort of contrived candidacy." In contrast, claimed Mika, "Mayor Pete feels much more natural, real."

In which ways? Is he a drunk? Is he a serial philanderer on his Husband?

They built up Trump, too. Before he cinched the nomination.

There's always an underlying purpose. Always.

When Morning Joe was a congressman, he tried to get the US out of the UN, opposed minimum wage increases, and wanted to cut medicare. How money makes people change their minds all of a sudden...

This is the establishment lefts core issue. They pine for the next “Kennedy”, but Kennedy’s politics would be branded “racist” by today’s standards. The loons on social media would fly off the handle over a true moderate dem like that.

Meanwhile, as they scramble to measure up Beto and Buttboy, radical anti-semites and socialist 20somethings have hijacked the party.

As a Christian I would never do it but if Joe pointed at his mug and told me to take one shot it would only be by the power of the Holy Spirit I would refrain. If Joe's sidekick Donnie "Douche" Deutsch gave me the same opportunity I'm probably uncorking from the knees with a an right uppercut.

It's why I can't stand him, no principles, no convictions, no consistency.....basically a fraud and a phony who sold out to corporate money.

If Tucker or Hannity wanted to make life miserable Joe Cuckborough they could find endless audio and video clips of Joe in his previous life ( pre MSNBC) where he contradicts nearly everything he stands for or tolerates today, run that montage at least once a week.

Joe must be embarrassed to be from Pensacola. It’s probably his dirty little secret.

Are we sure Mayor Pete wouldn't be a problem for Trump?

He kinda scares me more than any other potential opponent.

Hes got that Obama knack for seeming like a moderate and being charismatic / intellectual as frick which is a tough combo to pull off.

I found Pete to be more Jimmy Carter like than JFK.

Nice guy, but would be in way over his head. And a complete limp wrist

With very few exceptions, the Kennedys' were shitty human beings.
