Part of net neutrality was to force ISPs to treat all sites as equal. Without NN, they are free to do all the boogeyman things you have heard. That includes blocking websites.

I may be wrong, but I thought it was a bit more nuanced than that, and not exactly, 'there was no way they could block sites before, but now they can do so at will.'

It is always a little more nuanced, yes.

NN removed a lot of the barriers for them though.

Y'all act like NN wasn't created because the ISPs weren't caught doing exactly what everyone said they will do

It isn't like there is no precedent here

AN ISP was caught. sued, and lost.

the situation worked fine.

To bring the US into the globalist utopia they would have to control the internet. Globalism can’t work with true unfettered journalism and free flow of information and ideas. They have the journalist they must have the net to succeed.

I’m sure if ISPs wanted to raise rates, they wouldn’t hold back on these people.

Some ISPs may not raise rates on everyone. They could go a completely different direction and not raise prices to the end user and just decide to throttle certain sites, (InfoWars for example) so that it doesn't stream in HD. Similar to how Charter Spectrum throttled Netflix and League of Legends in New York.

Well no. The ISP won.

What's your projected timeframe on when I should expect to see these "noticeable differences"?

If you were a CEO of one these companies who planned to screw over large swaths of your customer base, it would probably be best that you wait till people forget about the controversial catalyst that's allowing you to do it.

Give it a 1-1/2 to 2 years. Enough time to get you hooked on the few bones they throw you (i.e. free extra speed, data, etc) before they slowly start to frick people over.

Are we completely disregarding the recent willingness of the Prog CEO's to sensor people they disagree with?

I just saw that I’m like 40% of your posts. I really didn’t know I was that in your head.

Haven’t seen any throttling between sites, the prices from my ISP are the same, and I’m enjoying gaming and streaming like before. I want to say the experience is actually a bit better.

But I thought the NN sky screamers here said we would be throttled into the Stone Age?

This is proof we didn’t need that burdensome federal regulation. Outside of places like leftist redditers and Dems in Congress, I don’t see anyone complaining about NN repeal. Thank you Mr. Pai.

Hilarious.

You were just on whining about private companies kicking Jones off the net last night.

Well, not many folks will go on record stating that their pornhub streams are slower.

Or so my friend has told me.

He really is a one trick pony. Can't debate any particular subject so he just tosses out insults.
