The extent of weirdness that we would tolerate back when I was in school goes as follows:

There was a guy in 11th grade that would eat bugs on command. One time in biology when we were dissecting pigs, we dared him to eat a pig’s snout…which he cut off and ate. Also dared him to eat a light bulb once. He did.

He most definitely would not think he was a cat. That’s crazy.

So the little boys that think they are dogs are just left out in the cold here... And the Asian kids that think they are Panda bears? What about Mexicans that think they are armadillos? That's Bull squash...

When I acted stupid in school, they sent me to the principle.

I’ve thought about this for some time but never posted this before. A cousin of mine(who estranged herself from me and my family because we came from a small town) had a child who proclaimed himself a panda as a preschool child to the point that all his immediate family called him Panda. After his delusion being supported for years he committed suicide by hanging when his divorced father announced he was getting remarried. I still wonder if presenting him with reality earlier may have prevented this.

For the trifecta, the kid will identify as a black male cat.

Then make her scoop out her own poop with the little scooper to teach her the responsibilities of owning an animal.

That crazy arse kid is going to be a problem for a normal teacher down the line. And then there will be hell.

WHY??! Why would anybody, let alone a teacher, encourage this? This kid is gonna have to one day face reality and will end up doing something even more stupid.

Eh this is likely just the teacher being friendly to a five year old who thinks it’s funny and makes her feel special because she and her teacher have this ongoing joke. All context is removed and we had a friendly teacher/student interaction be politicized so we can get all offended at those crazy libs

I refuse to participate. I have a niece who claims it's a nephew now.

I still call it by it's female name, not the male name that nutjob selected for itself.

If my brother/sister in law and family don't like it, I've got plenty of family to spend time with that aren't mentally ill AND celebrating it.
