The board is much more libertarian the hardcore R.

But yet they vote for republicans, and chastise those who don't. While they nominally align with libertarians, they vote straight republican or a big chunk does.

If they were truly independent, they would sometimes vote for democrats. Or vote libertarian.

I think the comments by MO are atrocious, dont you?

I don't really care to tell you the truth. I am not surprised she said it, i mean she is partisan. Hard core dem, do you really think she would say otherwise?

quote:

She didnt even articulate a reason. She said just vote for us...REGARDLESS OF WHAT WE DO OR SAY.

Sure, but again do you think partisans really care about what the policies are? They are married to the cause. This is news like water is wet or something.

Maybe they are not voting blindly. Maybe they believe in conservative ideas. Just because one is poor does not mean he does not have pride, and feels it is wrong to take from one to give to another. The difference is MO came right out and said to vote blindly.

Is that all you can come up with.

They take and then talk bad/vote against the ones they take from.

But in my lifetime, they have never done this. So it would be completely new for them to stay "in the kitchen".

Laura bush stumped for her hubby. HRC did the same for hers. Nancy reagan did too. I don't recall barbara bush doing a ton there but I do recall her being pro-choice. I was too young for carter and ford but I assume their wives got involved in their political activities.

Eh, I guess you've got a point. I guess I just don't like her and that's why it irks me more than normal. Just like HRC stumping for universal healthcare. It bugs me when they go on a tear about creating/changing massive policies when they have zero authority to do anything. Then again, the same argument could be made for Nancy Reagan doubling down on the War on Drugs which has probably caused way more harm than good.

you're wrong again. Many even abstain if the R is too much a big government guy. Your problem is you're upset the board doesnt support the batshit insane liberal pillars of big government.

I didnt say they were independent you fricking clown, You even quoted me saying they are libertarian...and they do vote libertarian.

A smart partisan actually tries to dress it up a little by at least floating a reason. She thinks so little of you and the rest of the liberal base she didnt even offer to do that. pathetic.

thanks for being honest.

if you always vote republican, then you are in fact republican even if you prefer the term libertarian. A rose by any other name is still a rose.....

i think you, and many people on this board, wake up and think - what can I be angry about today - and then find something to be angry about.

Getting mad at partisans being partisans is just fricking retarded.

how could you possibly know how the boards Libertarians, of which there really aren't all that many, vote? You can't and don't know. You're guessing and you're guesses aren't really very intelligent.

fyi, last Dem I voted for, Zell Miller,, why? He was no more or less a big govt. leftist than the Rino running against him, and I just didn't like the Libertarian that much. The thing that stood out about Zell was his willingness to stand up to the azzhole Dems in his party, that chastised our troops who were in bad spot through no fault of their own.

I am guessing people assume a lot about who and I voted for.

For instance, I voted for johnson in 2012. And bob barr in 2008. I am going to bet no one here would believe me that I did.

Libertarians on this board DO vote Libertarian when there is a candidate. They also vote for Republicans who are small 'l' libertarians...think Rand Paul. But it would be totally out of character for a libertarian to vote for a Democrat.

By definition, a libertarian is anti-statist. There is no such animal today as a Democrat who is not a statist. So, the libertarian has 3 choices:

a. Vote for the Libertarian.
b. Vote for the libertarian leaning republican.
c. Don't vote.

Well, if you lived in La. you didn't vote for Bob Barr in 2008. He didn't make the deadline for getting on the ballot.

I'm not smearing at all. (Smearing is calling someone a liar) I think your anger issues are unhealthy.

Life's too short.

Im not angry. I enjoy calling liars out on their shite.

Hence why you are still deflecting from the question I posed to you on page 2. It's ok, you dont want to answer...facing reality is tough.

Im not an R.

what you seem to forget is that the enemy of the people is government. I rail against whoever is in power.

Currently it's the batshit loons you support. Very soon it will be the batshit R morons.

Then I will rail against them.

LOL at the people in here defending a person saying "vote for my party no matter what we've said or done." How pathetic.
