If x was alive, I'd like to think he would've long since created a political movement that could legit rival the Democrats and GOP.
fricked up that our establishment (most likely) killed off the legit black leaders.. and then propped up the likes of Lewis, who sucked up to the party that was beating him with hoses just a few years earlier.

Exactly. He actually expressed regret for those initial teachings, and acknowledged he was brainwashed at the time. It was quite an astounding admission for a man who was entrenched in such militant, hateful dogma for years.
It would've been fascinating to see how his beliefs would have continued to evolve over the years.
