“Senate democrats and their allies are trying to destroy a mans personal and professional life on the basis of decades old allegations that are unsubstantiated and uncorroborated”

Good job, Mitch! Let's keep up the pressure. Kavanaugh is not backing down. Here's hoping Flake, Collins & Murkowski are on board as well.

Wish they had the balls to say that about Trump.

I doubt Mitch comes out that strong without knowing how Collins, Murkowski, and company are leaning.

Mitch, it’s for you as our majority leader to start cracking that whip on Flake, Murk and Collins.

You only need two of them.

Whip it hard.

The best that can happen at this point is Kavanaugh testifies on Thursday, Ford doesn't show/gets owned by Kavanuagh's rebuttal (which she will as there will be plenty of inconsistencies), the vote is forced right after and Kavanaugh gets confirmed.

The fact that Kavanaugh has not backed down one bit is huge.

I trust The Turtle on this.

After Garland, I feel quite certain he is not making this strong a statement if he doesn’t have the votes. Collins & Murkowski included.

Flake is fricking useless.

Who cares what happens to him.

I believe the Dems and Ford's lawyers were banking on Brett withdrawing from the process by Thursday and therefore she wouldn't have to show up...with Brett planning to show on Thursday, chances of Ford no-showing have increased.
