My understanding is that CRT isn’t a course curriculum - like “on Wednesday Boys and Girls and other genders, we are going to learn about how
white people suck” and tomorrow we’re going to learn how all the founders were racist misogynists (except Hamilton bc there’s a musical about him where George Washington was black). Instead, I thought that CRT is a structural theory that requires education to enforce “equity” and other divisive Marxist bullshite. Sure, they do shite like overtly teach children how white people are inherently evil, but they also to do shite like refuse to discipline minority kids, and give white kids Fs in math and other types of idiocy to equalize racist geometry.

Tell her to read the first few chapters of the 1619 project for free on Amazon. She will change her tune.

Liberals: “there is no CRT being taught in schools”

Also liberals: “OMG the racist Republicans are banning CRT from being taught in schools”

Come on over. We also just passed a repeal of the state income tax because we have such a surplus.

Any school that has a Director
Of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is teaching Critical Race Theory in some fashion.

Because what is, and isn't CRT is contested, broad laws like "CRT is banned" could be next to useless (which depending on your point of view could be a good or bad thing).

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they didn't walk out because they felt the law was unnecessary or a waste of time.

This is Missouri specific. But it’s got some good stuff in it.

A speaker I heard talking about this made a great point. If you forced every teacher to be trained by a Catholic organization, would you be convinced that there’s no Catholic influence in the school just because you don’t see something in the curriculum labeled “Catholicism.”

Every teacher is being trained in “anti-racism” and theories of “systematic racism” and “equity.” It’s all in the spending of the district for continuing education for every big school district in the country. That’s the tell. That’s the dead giveaway.

Most of the state level laws have several elements. One targets specific curricula that are popular with the CRT proponents. Another element targets concepts like “whiteness” or “systemic racism” or “oppressors” as a class.

Correct. CRT is implemented in the pedagogy, not the curriculum. It's everywhere in government schools (and some private ones as well).

The way you bust it is to legislate to create a private cause of action against any organization or institution that violates the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which prohibits treating people differently on the basis of race. That means woke workplace sensitivity training, CRT pedagogy in the schools, etc. could all be bait for Dudley DeBosier and Put The Womac On 'Em to rush in with filings.

Siccing the plaintiff bar on these woke institutions is a massive win. It's how you kill the woke. Texas cracked the code on this with abortion, and it applies to CRT just as well.

Then why did they walk out? Why are they mad about something that doesn't exist being banned?

The fact they're mad tells you this is a lie.

Nobody bitches about having something they weren't doing in the first place banned.
