My godson met Pence when he was deployed in Iraq and Pence made a surprise Thanksgiving dinner visit. They conversed a good bit. This kid is a good judge of character and says Mike seems to be a genuinely good person.

But you're correct that Pence doesn't really have anything to contribute right now.
