Mike Lee fires back at Thune and, to be very honest, I believe the SAVE Act passes soon.

I've been waiting all year for a Republican Senator to push back against John Thine. I just wish he had started doing this earlier.

Trying to front like he's the hero now, when it's too late. Looks good for campaigning and fundraising tho.

I wish the Republicans would replace that useless POS.

John "ball less RHINO" Thune.

Credit to Glenn Beck.

Thune and John Roberts must go to the same cocktail parties where filming happened.

It should be painfully apparent by this time that these DC critters loyalties lie not with the American people but rather to themselves and “their institution”.

Weak men, obviously. There has to be something on Thune for him to behave this way.

I understand the hesitancy to get rid of it, but basically if Republicans don't (and then take advantage of it while they can) Democrats almost assuredly will anyway when it benefits them. You already have some saying this publicly.

Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution makes clear that the President may, if he deems it a worthy situation under what's referred to in the Constitution as the threshold of "...extraordinary Occasions."

This essentially boils down to a President determining that a moment of sufficient importance exists; he can convene both Houses, or either of them individually.

So, on the off chance that, upon arrival, they act like petulant children and let America down (yet again) by voting for another vacation recess, I absolutely expect Trump will cancel it again.

Yes, he can do that.

And to invoke that power, he would issue a proclamation setting the date and time for the session to begin—which I would assume would be right away and thereby making them all fly back.

Then, upon their return, if they refuse to work to pass the SAVE America Act and vote to go on vacation again, Trump can order them back again. And no, there is no limit to how many times he can invoke that power.

The way it hurts is that you wait for all the Senators to get home and call them back immediately. Rinse and repeat as necessary. It would be a nightmare for them—and a PR disaster heading into the midterm election.

I say, make it hurt

POTUS Trump is just the man to call them back. Of course the MSM (Lying Media) will claim POTUS Trump is wasting billions of dollars and everything is Trump's fault, etc.

But he is the Man who will do it!!

So is this the version where state compliance is optional or the original version?

You mean there must be something Thune because he is a politician.

There is an ongoing debate as to whether an non-bought politicians' still exist or if they are just critically endangered.

If the save act doesn’t pass and the Republicans don’t out cheat the Marxists
then our Nation will decline.
