Says he will run if Jim Jordan can't get there (and we all know he can't)

What do y'all think?

Is he the real deal?

Should have said this after the vote if Jordan didn’t make it but I’ll take anyone that is somewhat a thorn in the eye of the system. I know it can all be Kabuki theater but at least make it entertaining.

I nominate Byron Donalds.

He's a conservative, and the Dems would twist themselves into pretzels to have to vote against the first black Speaker in history.

Anyone not named Scalise from LA has ZERO shot at becoming anything with a position of influence in DC.

The rest of the country laughs at Louisiana. Y’all realize that right?

Some of our reps look and sound like they just crawled out of the swamp or woods.

Ever heard Mike Johnson speak? Apparently not.

Johnson is a good rep but if Steve can’t get it, I don’t see how Mike can get it.

It’s funny people blamed Gaetz and the 8 for this happening yet it’s the 100+ unknown uniparty reps who never do anything who will be the ones to frick this up.

I am not suggesting Mike could get the position. I was just responding to the ignorant post which labeled all our reps as hicks.

There would be 213 pretzels in the House chamber, then. They're not about to vote for Byron Donalds-- not a HWON of them. And enough GOP members will be there to scuttle his nomination as well

I used to like Mike. He’s no different than the rest though.

No one is getting to 217 anytime soon. Waste of time and energy.

I know, I was doing the same in response just saying I don’t think Johnson would even be looked at. He has more ties to the 8 than the others. I like him as a rep in the house.

WRONG.

Dems overlook things like qualifications and skill in order to promote diversity.

Donalds is conservative and a clear thinker who just happens to be black. I see no problem with using the Dems' obseesion with race against them.

He’s a freshman rep you know nothing about. You already said it’s about race to make a point.

Dems were not gonna fall for that the first time around. They still stuck with Jeffries.

You people who think either Scalise or Johnson will get primaried if they don't do what you want them to are delusional idiots.
