There's just a hilarious fractal quality to that clip. These mountebanks on stage at a church grifting churchgoers while exhorting them to grift each other to further siphon the money on up the tube.

This is 100% false. I grew up in an SBA church and went to a few services in several around the Upstate of SC that were all part of the Southern Baptist Convention and speaking in tongues absolutely happened. It wasn't a weekly event and happened more often during revival but it occured in multiple churches that I witnessed with my own eyes and ears.

Vox had to clear that garden hose of the residual hopium he’s usually ingesting but he was able to get it clear enough to get some gas out.

I grew up SB and will say there are far worse denominations and even other cults that claim to be Christian.

SBs ain't all that bad.
