One thing that I haven't heard in the past two decades or so, is that Obama is an abusive husband or father, or a deadbeat husband or father etc.
Obviously he had sufficient income that allowed him to provide a good life for his family.
Not seeing why he's being put out on front street by his wife, or why she refers to her children as THOSE KIDS.
This is a Michelle Obama problem.

To provide the kids with a stable, two-parent home that provides all the necessities, I think that even a marginally-admirable parent can tolerate a LOT for a few years. Most American "adults" are just too self-centered and spoiled to do it.
Your situation is not the norm. I don't know your kids ages at the time, but "those kids" were not going to starve or lack for any of their material needs due to a divorce. I am far, far less-judgmental about divorce decisions when I know that the kids are not going to be either cold or hungry. All too often, the opposite is the case.
