I think the biggest negative of White House life would be the inability to just walk out the door and do whatever anonymously and without a Secret Service detail.

While the secret service aspect may be exclusive to the White House, I imagine that applies for any famous celebrity. Of course, it depends on individual personalities, but I can't imagine a greater hell. The peaceful anonymity of being an unknown outweighs all the wealth in the world, when tied to fame. (At least in my personal opinion.)

I didn't realize the white house was supposed to be glamorous in the first place. Its serves a purpose to safely house the president. I don't think any other president other than the obamas wanted or expected a luxurious lifestyle while in office.

That mindset is so deep seated in the black culture that I don’t see them ever breaking free of it in substantial numbers.
Reminds me of a rather classy black lady from our town who played some overseas ball. She made a social media post one time about how her overseas travels made her realize how good we have it in America. She was bombarded with arguments from so many blacks.

True, but political figures are naturally more polarizing than celebrities. I would feel less at ease walking into a random Pop’s BBQ by myself as a sitting president than Tom Cruise.
