Personal responsibility isn't the same thing as force. Why do you want the government to make our decisions for us?

This is hilarious. Next tell us about single payer healthcare and why tax money is needed to feed kids. Personal responsibility? It's like you have no concept of how ironic your "arguments" are.

I must have missed it but when did Michelle Obama get a degree in nutrition or educated in the basics of nutrition? Kids are fat these days because they have less time at recess and quit playing sports. Not because of what they eat for lunch at school. If Michelle wants to play chef she needs to get back in the kitchen and make Barry a sandwich. She wasn't exactly a shining beacon for the appearance of good nutrition choices. She should probably spend some time educating her underage daughter on the effects of alcohol and how it's against the law to consume alcohol under the age of 21.

Skinner - prior to all of our food being processed and loaded with sugar/HFCS.

Thanks for making my point

They're not.

We are talking about lunches in government schools, i.e. Taxpayer funded. No one is stopping a kid from bringing a bag lunch or parents enrolling them in private school

The federal government should not be involved in granular level food choices if everyday citizens.

That's facism 101.

I would say that Michelle shouldn't talk about fitness when she has a butt the size of a small county. But I won't say that because it would be rude.

Does it really boil down to "My dislike of Obama is so great that I'll even oppose the few decent measures he implemented?"
No, posters here are correct, kids were not eating the food. That is a fact. Kids can have chocolate 1% milk and have pasta and not get fat. Surprise I did it. Everyone in my school did it no one was eating pounds of sugar, but guess what we also did, EXERCISE. We played outside.

If there were a list of 10 items or reasons kids are lazy and fat, school lunches wouldn't make the list.

You drippy counts have to stop.

The school lunch regulations put in place during the Obama adminstration were dumb as hell and complete failures.

A local school here threw away trash cans full of uneaten and untouched food every day. Afternoon snacks (healthy) were provided. They went straight into the trash. Pound and pounds of raw baby carrots. Who could have predicted it? I mean besides everyone.

So it's not about school lunches. Thanks for agreeing with me.

No Michelle. You aren't part of my family. It's not your job to make sure of Jack shite related to me or my family and you can go frick yourself in the arse for thinking it is

Actually in some schools this has happened and some teachers have withheld items from a child's lunch.

Why don't you try eating a raisin and a rice cake for lunch and see if that ties your arse over till dinner, then report back.
