I do, thanks to the article in the OP, I know that a couple US Army soldiers surrendered to some Mexicans that intruded on sovereign US territory. It's a fricking embarrassment for everyone involved. The Mexicans are the only laughing about it, though.

No, you don’t. You have a media article written by someone who has probably never spent a day in uniform. Nothing more, nothing less.

They screwed up. Fortunately no one got hurt. It will be taken care of.

Go respawn on Call of Duty.

You know more about this than the person that wrote the article? Your hypocrisy has no limits. What's your point here:

1. The Mexicans weren't on U.S. soil
2. The U.S. soldiers didn't surrender

Wolfhound is an Army Colonel if I'm not mistaken. He probably has some insight that we don't.

and he's ok with U.S. troops surrendering to Mexicans? We've sure come a long way from Anthony Clement "Nuts" McAuliffe.

All he was saying was don't trust everything you read from the media. The modern media in America is more bluster/conjecture than fact.

It is too bad that you were not there when this all went down. Those Call of Duty skills would have come in handy.

Nuts.

Why in the world would we not have our troops properly armed or at the minimum be better armed than a 3rd world army?

If you knew anything about the Battle of Bulge, you would know that a shite ton of Americans surrendered, and McAuliffe was an exception to the rule.

I agree. First thought is that these guys never expected for the Mexicans to draw their guns. We are not in a war with Mexico. I would think that these guys never felt threatened until the guns were drawn and pointed at them. At that point when you are out manned and out gunned by soldiers who have their weapons drawn and you know any move will instantly cause your death, what options did they have? Dying wouldn't have helped anything.

I didn't know there was an order of merit list on who to surrender to. Could you provide that please.

I don't know what #1-200 are, but I know where dead last place falls - any country confronting you on U.S. soil.

Complacency kills. CBP probably also don't regularly if ever do training for that type of situation.

Customs no

Border Patrol I guarantee they do

Those guys get in fire fights on the border more than people realize. It’s just never reported on the news.

If we held Obama to this on his terrible ROEs, we should do the same for Trump
