I don’t.

Do you? Saul did when he got the Witch of Endor to summon dead Samuel. David sacrificed 7 of Saul’s sons to Yahweh to end a famine. Jepthah sacrificed his daughter as thanks for Yahweh helping him to defeat his enemies. Yahweh commanded child sacrifice and bragged about how he defiled the Israelites by commanding their firstborn to pass through the fire.

Totally, bro…

Don’t lie, don’t kill, don’t steal, don’t cheat, respect your elders, “do unto others” and all that nonsense totally kept us from having hover boards.

Skygod book is soooo dumb. It’s like that bunch of do-gooders should have named the collection of western humanity’s philosophical wisdom something else.

And just look how awesome they're doing today after replacing the Holy Bible with Muslim immigrants!

How retarded are you, truly? Have you ever driven on American roads? 70% of people out there can't even change lanes without almost running others off the road. I literally see people scrolling through their Facebook feed in six-lane 80mph traffic all the time. Now translate that to the sky, and imagine how well that would go.

But you know that.

Nice troll attempt though. I'll pray for you, and not to the Muslim deity.

Let’s break this down from a fundamental standpoint.

quote:

Isaiah 9:6

The child is the messiah you would know as Hezekiah.

quote:

John 1:1–3

Like I had already said, this one may be the best argument (though not a good argument) for pre-existence of Jesus.

quote:

Hebrews 7:3

The author is talking about the priesthood, particularly the high priest, of El Elyon the most high god and father of the gods. Jesus is supposed to be the high priest Melchizedek, the god-king messiah. Hebrews also mentions Melchizedek has no mother or father. To take this as literal of Jesus’ pre-existence you’d have to acknowledge Jesus had no mother or genealogy, which would contradict the gospels of Matthew and Luke (though even those two describe opposing genealogies ).

quote:

Micah 5:2

They longed for a ruler, a messiah from the priestly order or Melchizedek, to replace the Persian kings and to replace the corrupted priests of the temple built by the Persian Zoroastrians in Jerusalem. I don’t see anything in here of Jesus nor pre-existence.

But what if your sister is a good Christian woman? Is it permissible to date then?

The whole world would be Epstein Island without Christianity.

The difference is that with Christians, Epstein island would be filled with underage boys instead of girls. Sad either way.

Sounds like something you would want to pursue.

Roger casting gay aspersions yet again. Roger, It may just be time for you to come out of the closet. Homosexuality is clearly on your brain all the time.

No, just pointing out the connection between atheism and homosexuality.

Most militant atheists are gay. Probably related to their Autism/Aspergers.

How can you hate something that you don't believe in?

Didn’t happen. Constantine legalized Christianity. Emperor Theodosius made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire.

You got me on a technicality. Bravo.

When Constantine became Christian, you had to be a Christian if you wanted to be gainfully employed or be in the military. Official religion was the wrong word choice. Unofficial de facto official religion of the Roman Empire would have been a better choice of words.

It's pretty wild rev. The first page of his post history is comprised entirely of 3 different threads about either christianity or catholicism. The "i'm going to post an edgy thread on a major holiday" schtick is not a new phenomenon by any means, but the obsession seems to run deep with OP.

I'm not Christian but I do think it's in bad taste to post this type of thread during Christmas season

It's just flat strange in all honesty. I've never once felt the urge to post something about Ramadan or Hannukah, particularly during significant days on the calendar. I certainly haven't went into multiple threads to the point that my whole post history is saturated with said threads.

I used to get into some religious debates here years ago

But at the end of the day it doesn't matter to me what people believe as long as their beliefs aren't harming anyone

You got an idol... errr. Christmas tree standing in your home right now?

What the hell?

Do you think churches advocate trees as a form of worship, or something? You atheists are a notch above retarded

Christmas is a shortened form of Christ's mass. Those that arent of the Catholic faith, just assemble in a service to recognize the "birth" of their savior. Trees have zero to do with that service.
quote:

It is a widely held belief that Martin Luther, the 16th-century Protestant reformer, was the first to bring lighted trees into winter traditions. While walking home one winter evening, Luther was awed by the stars twinkling amidst evergreens. To recapture the scene for his family, he erected a tree in the main room and wired its branches with lighted candles.

It wasnt until the 1800s in America, that idiots like you associated the lighted trees in winter with pagan traditions. Most specifically because it was associated with Martin Luther, and something they could focus their anger on because of his separation from the Catholic Church
