Fed-Ex could easily fix this

Mayor: Hello, may I ask who is calling

Yes, this is Joe, I’m the CEO of FedEx.

Ok Joe, how can I help you

Mayor, I had a semi truck robbed on the street with a driver in it and couldn’t move due to traffic. The thugs broke open the back and cleaned it out. Next time this happens we’ll be exploring moving our complete operations out of state. And I’ll be clear it was your incompetence that made it happen. Click

Thats how you fix it. If the city needs to provide armed guards at the entrance to city and ride with trucker or have a follow car, then they need to do it. Meanwhile clean up the crime.

Maybe.

I’d lean towards blaming, prosecuting and solutioning the yutes.

What makes you think there wasn't a lock on there to begin with?

A buddy of mine used to drive trucks like that. He was instructed...if at all possible...to not come to complete stop in certain areas of his run. It was for the exact reason this video is about.

That was over 20 years ago...it's not new...just more blatant, don't give a crap animalistic behavior.

So it took three years to get from Memphis, TN to Daytona Beach in 2026? Must've detoured through Houston rodeo.

Actually about 2.5 seconds with a battery operated side grinder - a very common item.

When I lived in New Orleans, 30 years ago, I worked for corp Miller Brewing. In Louisiana there was a law that if you bought alcohol you had to pay cash. Great for the distributor, dangerous for drivers. This is in the days before debit cards so bandits knew you had a truck full of beer and money. Had armed security on some routes. But he ninth ward.......

We paid the city to have a police car and two cops follow the truck and get out and guard it with shotguns via the wild west.

Bobby was one of the cops who used to guard our truck, he used to go to Saints games we hosted in the box, Carnival suites. Good guy, brother was a cop too. Bobby was sent to raid a crack house, his brother said they were in the precinct listening on the radio. Heard Bobby say police, knock down the door and immediately gunshots. Cops dont fire first, the whole precinct went quiet, next thing his brother heard was another cop saying "hold on Bobby, help is coming, hold on".

One bullet hit him right above his vest in the jugular, he didnt have a chance.

On another note, yes a FedEx trailer, particularly in downtown Memphis, would be locked and sealed. But as mentioned a hand grinder could remove this quickly.
