There is a battle right now between the MAGA arm of the Right and the GOPe. This is the problem with the "come to the table" approach. Its a trust issue, and GOPe can't be trusted. Cornyn and others just proved that with their Gun Law, that should have never been touched by anyone on the GOP side.

The GOPe hate Trump almost as much as the Democrats. They sure as hell aren't going to burn political capital to assist him. Trump created the January 6th mess and its coming back to bite him in the arse.
