Should they also be required to take drug tests, maintain a healthy weight, consume zero alcohol, and quit smoking?

My logic is clear.

The vaccines are proven to lower hospitalizations and 37% of all COVID hospitalizations in Louisiana were paid for by Medicaid. Reducing those future numbers either by vaccinating the Medicaid people or having them opt out of Medicaid system is a good thing for tax payers.

I.B. Freeman should not be your handle cause you truly do not understand the concept of freedom. Your body, your choice whether to take the shot or not.
If you have taken the shot you're safe from those who haven't, so quit whining and get out of their business.

I’m good with this. As long as people on food stamps can’t buy crab legs and soda.

Sexually promiscuous

You’re an idiot.

Requiring unhealthy people to be healthy?

It's a stroke of genius.

My 80 year old neighbor whose husband I've known since I was a child is suffering with Cancer,Well she refuses to get Vaxed because of possible side effects.
I help them keep up with any repairs the house may need as well as keeping up their yard.
She is frightened to death about losing Medicaid, Medicare etc.,because of her refusal. She is concerned about suffering from one of the side effects with her husband so ill. I feel so sorry for these old folks it's a shame.

We can’t even make them pass a drug test to get welfare . No one should be forced to take a unapproved vaccine.

You people seem to think that freedom equates to doing whatever you want to do regardless of cost to others.

That is BS. Your freedom should not infringe on the freedoms of others.

Now if a person forgoes the choice to buy their own healthcare and opts instead to burdened other citizens with that care they have to face the consequences.

Government should protect us from those that want to take from us.

Clearly if all medicaid recipients were vaccinated it would mean less burdens on us than if we pay their COVID care.

I want less government burden on us all.

The government shouldn't make you take the vaccine but they clearly have the right to restrict your entrance to government property or government provided healthcare if they deem the vaccine is necessary to protect others or if they deem the vaccine will help control government provided healthcare cost that is the burden of others.

Private business owners clearly have the right to tell their employees you must take the vaccine. They can and some have that they can't be smokers.

I agree with many things posted here about mandating better health habits if one is to burden the public with their healthcare. Just because we are not doing that now does not mean we should side step requiring vaccines of welfare people.
