The U.S. military says it has killed 49 members of the militant group al Shabaab in three separate airstrikes over the past 12 days in Somalia. The latest strike was conducted Saturday southwest of Bosasso, Somalia, in which 27 suspected terrorists were killed, according to the U.S. Africa Command. Two other strikes southwest of the capital Mogadishu on May 23 and May 31 resulted in a total of 22 deaths, the U.S. said.

Hard to fathom that Somolia is still as much of a shithole as it was before.
Even propping up a puppet government would be better than their current joke of a government.

The strikes were carried out in coordination with the government of Somalia, and are part of its counterterrorism campaign targeting terrorists.
Kind of important.

Watched Black Hawk Down again the other day. It still miffs me that we went in there so unprepared and uncoordinated. Seems like the best military in the world should have expected and prepared for the worse. They took that situation very lightly.

Those bombs targeted future African Americans and are thus racist!

There is a government in Somalia?
It’s the definition of “failed state”.

They needed armor. Clinton’s SecDef, Les Aspin wouldn’t approve.

bama can only cut and paste what is important to him so kind of important details get left out.

Multiple targets in Portland if they aren’t busy.

This had nothing to do with the military other than weak arse leadership that let civilian “oversight” screw with the ROEs and not allow them the support they needed.
