MD school district (MoCo)unveils LGBTQ book list for pre-K

Maryland’s wealthiest school district has unveiled a new LGBTQ-inclusive book list for elementary schools that teaches words like "intersex" and "drag queen" to children as young as 4.
A PowerPoint presentation by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) shows a list of LGBTQ+ books that will be provided for pre-K through fifth-grade classrooms this year. The presentation explains that the LGBTQ-inclusive reading list aims to "reduce stigmatization and marginalization of transgender and gender nonconforming students."
"No child, or adult, who does not agree with or understand another student’s gender identity or expression or their sexuality identity is asked to change how they feel about it," it adds.
(yeah, right, just speak up and see what happens, no free speech recognized in MoCo)
The presentation was apparently part of a professional development workshop for MCPS staff held in August about "Building Community with LGBTQ+ Affirming Picture Books." One of the slides stated, "Use five of the books by the end of December."
The book that MCPS has recommended for children in pre-kindergarten is "Pride Puppy," which teaches terms like "intersex," "drag king," "drag queen" and "Marsha P. Johnson," the late famed drag performer.
Pre-K teachers are also provided a resource guide about "defining LGBTQ+ words for elementary students" by the Human Rights Campaign, which includes vocabulary like "cisgender," "gender binary," "transgender," "pansexual" and "queer."
Students in kindergarten, ages 5 and 6, are advised to read the 2021 book, "Uncle Bobby’s Wedding," which is about a wedding between two men.
"Students will recognize that people’s multiple identities interact and create unique and complex individuals," the MCPS guide states.

Students will recognize unfairness on the individual level (e.g., biased speech) and injustice at the institutional or systemic level (e.g., discrimination)," the guide states.
And so on, and so on. Particularly insidious is the guide to indoctrination and how to respond to student and parent inquiries and questioning. Pure, unadulterated evil and this is what 'voters' are choosing.

conservative groups need to find out who is the one implementing and advocating for these radicalized programs and books on young children, and why. find out what the sudden need is for kids as young as 4 years old to learn this stuff

I guess this is the kind of thing that separates Southern conservatives and Midwest/Northeastern conservatives.

Ironically as someone who lives in MD and commutes to DC, Maryland actually has some of the people most against this crap in the country. The city keeps spreading outward into the more sane areas, and of course the congressional districts are gerry mandered all to hell. I live in a rural area full of Trump and Let's Go Brandon signs, but the congressional district includes like a quarter of PG county which changes it blue

Utopia cannot be achieved while the nuclear family and the church still drive children’s formative years. The progressives who don’t really care about the trans issues are still very much on board with destroying the family and church influence.

The Democrats push the most vile and immoral agenda, and conservatives outside of the South, don't see how it's all or nothing for them but they keep trying to work with them because killing a baby is some kind of "right."

Speaking of 'under-represented' and 'disenfranchised,' Maryl and's Eastern Shore and western counties have lost all representation in Annapolis and are some of the poorest ones in the state, having great trouble getting much needed resources. Not coincidentally, they are majority white and majority farm/blue collar. Crying shame!

We need to get southern school districts to start adding the Bible to their curriculum and teaching proper Biblical behaviors, and see how the lefties respond.
Another slippery slope that was fallen for where the left pushes something we need to make sure we lay out the possibilities. They didn't push for God out of schools for no reason, and don't push for public pre-school for nothing either.

I was told just yesterday that America has spoken, and they're tired of all the crazies and confrontational conservatives.
It's sane school reading lists like these that the non-crazies have voted for.
Disagree with this school policy, and absolutely no confrontation from liberals will happen. They'll happily let you know your own opinion about it.
